Marriage Prince Albert of Monaco Photos  - Prince Albert of Monaco ultimately affirm an oath of allegiance with Charlene Wittstock, a former Olympic swimmer, in a religious ceremony that was held on Friday, July 1, on the Place du Palais, Monaco. The ceremony was held just a day after the two married in a civil ceremony in the same place.

Marriage was attended by about 3,500 guests, including leaders of friendly countries and world celebrities. As reported by the BBC, a celebration that seemed to deny the French news media that says that Wittstock had wanted to cancel the wedding.

THE CEREMONY

The official program has been revealed:
- Thursday, June 30th : at 7p.m. the journalists will be welcomed at the Meridian Hotel in Monaco for an evening especially made for them. At 10 p.m., the band The Eagles will perform a great concert in the stade Saint Louis especially for the marriage, reserved to all the inhabitants of Monaco and surroundings.

- Friday, July 1st: at 5 p.m., the civil union will be in the Throne Room in the princely palace. At the end of the ceremony, the couple will greet everyone by the terrace of the Room of Ices. At 6p.m., a buffet prepared by Fairmont Monte-Carlo will be served in the Place du Palais. The mayor of Monaco will give to the couple their marriage present offered by the inhabitants. At 10p.m., the French singer Jean Michel Jarre will be performing a special show in the Port Hercule.

- Saturday, July 2nd: at 5p.m, the religious ceremony will take place in the Main Courtyard of the Palace. The doors of the Palace will be open to enable 3 500 people to attend the ceremony. It will also be broadcasted on great screens in the Place du Palais. At 6.30 p.m, the couple will go to the Sainte-Devote Church, where the princess will deposit her bouquet. At 9 p.m., the official dinner and ball will take place at the Opéra Garnier. To close the dinner, there will be fireworks around midnight.
